One of the most common fears of people considering sidewalk counseling in front of abortion centers is they don’t know what to say. Would-be volunteers are concerned they will say the wrong thing and a baby will die as a result. We must have faith that if God calls us to sidewalk outreach ministry, the Holy Spirit WILL intercede and enable us to complete His purpose; however, we also recognize that being informed and prepared is important.
Below is a list of suggested phrases to call out to abortion-minded women, as well as to the fathers, friends or drivers who bring the women to the clinic, and to the abortion center workers themselves. The list is compiled from women who chose life explaining what changed their minds from abortion. We train our volunteers to call out in three key areas: 1) what God has to say about innocent human life, 2) the humanity of the baby, and 3) tangible resources to help women in unplanned pregnancies. This list amplifies each of these three key areas.
